By Timothy Durey – This is the fourth session of a Sunday night series on World Religions. In this session, Pastor Timothy walks us through the history and development of Islam. The prophet Muhammad was visited by an angel who gave him divine information. Muslims may say that we all worship the same God (Ahla), but does God accept everyone’s worship? Ahla in the Muslim religion is not a personal god and the Koran is not a revelation of him, but a revelation from him. Muslims do not believe there can be a personal relationship with God. Christians believe in a relational God Who loves them and gave Himself for them.
Every session in this series we will highlight a religion and walk through these four basic questions:
- What is the view of God?
- What is the view of humanity?
- What is the view of authority?
- What is the view of salvation?
